Eva The Bulgarian’s real name reads like this Eva Evguenieva Evguenieva - so, as you can see it’s no wonder why a moniker was created for her work as a reporter on the television show Sports Café. Eva The Bulgarian worked for the Sports Café for nine years and although the show is no longer on television the name has stuck. She really is originally from Bulgaria and came to New Zealand in December 1996 invited by her father who was already living here. Eva is now officially a Kiwi, even though she hasn’t yet mastered the accent! After the end of Sports Café Eva worked in 2006 as a roaming reporter for Sky’s Friday Night Football and in 2008 is currently completing her BA in Auckland University majoring in Film, Television & Media Studies, and Art History. She has participated in a number of print media and television projects since her arrival from Bulgaria.
