After gaining a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Social Anthropology at Auckland University, Toni Marsh made her television debut hosting an after school music show on the now defunct Max Television. She also held down several small acting positions in such shows as Shortland Street and Xena.
Come 1998, TV3 was next on the agenda where she donned a suit and read the daily news-breaks. At the weekends, she had her own music show on Channel Z radio. She has presented a travel video for "Look Before You Book" extolling the virtues of life in Rarotonga. A part-time weather presenting slot lead to the full-time position she has now held for the past 5 or so years.
She was the news and sports reader on The Edge radio station from 2002 till 2005, then moved to Radio Live as the sports and weather reader.
Outside of the world of radio and television, Toni hosted the Fitness Life Magazine awards in 2005 and 2006, the NZ Beauty Awards in 2005, showed extreme agility as the fairy in Xmas in the Park ( 2003) and has been a judge of Fashion in the Fields on Boxing Day at Ellerslie for the past 3 years as well as Diamond Day and several "Whips 'n Spurs" events at the Racecourse.
TV Guide has awarded Toni the Best on the Box awards for best weather presenter and sexiest woman on television for 2005 and 2006
M2 magazine readers recently voted her as "New Zealand's Best Woman".
